WE HAVE THE BIGGEST & BEST SELECTION OF PHOTO BOOTHS!  Not all Photo Booths are created equal. More expensive photo booths are more reliable, have better features, faster printing, and better networks so your guests receive their texts and emails faster just like you get faster calls from AT&T over T-Mobile. We spend more money buying the best photo booths, and we deliver them in large trucks b/c of our arcade division so we can buy the best photo booths no matter how big they are, but most photo booth companies only buy smaller, portable booths that will fit in their car or SUV. We don’t have those limitations! 

SOME PHOTO BOOTHS ARE BETTER FOR LARGE GROUPS AND SOME ARE BETTER FOR SMALL GROUPS: We own more than 20 different types of Photo booths with lots of different features, not 20 of the same photo booth. We own both the photo booths that are better for large parties AND small parties so we can give you honest recommendations about which photo booths are better for your party, but a company that only owns 1 or 2 different photo booths is not going to admit they don’t have the right photo booth because they still want your money! 

FOR LARGE GROUPS OF 150 OR MORE photo booths with less features are better b/c guests will spend less time using the photo booth so the lines move faster. Multi-screen photo booths are the best for large crowds. Guests only use the main screen for taking photos so lines move faster. They use separate screens for printing, texting, and emailing. Guests can also return to the photo booth hours later to scroll thru all of the photos taken and reselect their photo if they want a reprint or if they forgot to upload it to social media. (Examples; white box, retro box, capture box). Photo booths with only 1 screen can take over 5 minutes for a group of 6 girls taking a photo b/c they each have to enter their email, phone#, and optionally their FB, Twitter, or Instagram username & password to upload to social media, and then wait for their prints. You would have huge lines! Multi-screen booths solve this problem. Another problem with 1 screen photo booths is after you use the photo booth your photo is gone as soon as someone else uses the photo booth. Only the client can access the photos AFTER the event when they’re sent a link to download a master copy of all the photos.

FOR SMALL GROUPS OF 125 OR LESS photo booths with additional features like drawing, adding digital props, and lot of social media options are better for smaller parties b/c guests will spend more time using the booth, BUT this is bad for large crowds. These types of booths are great for smaller parties b/c you don’t have to worry about long lines when you have less guests. (Examples; Doodle Booth, iPhone Booth)

WE HAVE THE BEST STAFF b/c we pay more money to our attendants which attracts the best talent and makes them value their job. Some of our staff use to work for our competition! Most of our staff are in their mid 20s to mid 30s. We don’t hire kids! Many of our competitors hire 16 year old kids for $50/party. I know b/c I asked them! Then every other month those companies have new staff b/c they can’t maintain their staff at those pay rates. 

WE USE THE BEST PHOTO BOOTH SOFTWARE. We spend more money to have the latest and best features in our photo booths! For example, our mobile Ring Roamers use the more expensive curator software which we pay for every party. It is more money than the free software many companies use, but it has more features like facial recognition technology and snapchat filters. You also don’t want your guests waiting 2 days to receive their photos via text.

WE USE THE BEST PROPS. We spend more money on attractive displays, custom table covers, sunglass racks, premium sunglasses (not the 99 cent neon sunglasses most companies use). We have a huge selection of fun signs! We only use the expensive polyester jumbo leis instead of the cheaper feather boas which fall apart and many caterers dont allow them b/c they make a mess. FYI, the polyester leis cost $15-$20/piece, feather leis cost $5-$10 piece. 

OUR PROFESSIONAL PHOTO BOOTH DESIGNS will impress your guests. Our in-house graphic designers make original photo booth designs that will make your photos look their best. A bad design can make your photos look unprofessional. Most of our competition buys their designs online and resues them over and over, or they copy low resolution images they download from google. I know 3 of my main competitors do not know how to use photoshop or illustrator so they cannot make quality, original designs for your event.

GAME Selling: READ THESE ON THE PHONE

WE HAVE THE BIGGEST & BEST SELECTION OF GAMES!  We spend more money buying real arcade games while most of our competition buys the cheaper home versions. For example, we own the same air hockey tables you’ll find at Dave & Busters, but our 2 main competitors own air hockey tables you’ll find at Dicks Sporting Goods. I wont mention those competitors b/c it’s unprofessional, but they spend almost the same price buying those games as they charge to rent them. 

GUESTS ARE MORE EXCITED TO PLAY REAL ARCADE GAMES over home-version knock-offs because real arcade machines are built better and are more fun. That’s why it costs $4000 for an arcade air hockey table versus $400 for a home version air hockey table. Imagine you go for a walk and your neighbor pulls up in their new car and asks if you wanna go for a ride. You’d probably say “no” if it’s a Kia, but if it’s a Ferrari you’ll probably say “yes”. It’s the same idea with games, people get more excited when they see cool stuff.

WE CUSTOM MAKE SOME OF OUR GAMES. Many of our games are exclusive because we built them or made superior versions. Our competitors have tried to copy, but if you do a little homework you’ll see the difference. This is why most Party Planners recommend us! Games like Street Ballin, Zoltar, Giant Lite Brite, LED Ping Pong, LED 16 player Foosball were all custom made by us for us. There just a few examples of what separate us from the competition. And even if you’re not interested in those games it demonstrates our commitment to owning the best games in the industry. We walk the walk while others just talk the talk. We’re the originators and creators while our competition are mostly imitators. We believe innovation and hard work should be rewarded over a company that just copies us with inferior knock offs. 

OUR GAMES ARE IN BETTER CONDITION AND LOOK BETTER b/c we have custom covers made to protect almost every game and photo booth we own. Some of our competitors wrap their games in towels and cardboard so their games get damaged very quickly. I’ve seen this myself because sometimes we work on the same parties with these companies. We spend more money on our protective covers than some companies spend on their games!

WE PROVIDE TRAINED GAME TECHNICIANS to work on most of our events as game staff so you can relax knowing our attendants can handle most problems. We include a game attendant on almost every party, and they are in their mid 20s to 40s. We don’t hire kids! Many of our competitors hire teenagers with no experience fixing games or dealing with adults so if there’s a problem they can’t do much to help. So when another company charges a little less it’s not b/c they like you, it’s b/c they’re saving money hiring cheaper staff and buying cheaper equipment. It costs us more money to do things right.

WE HAVE PROFESSIONAL DELIVERY STAFF that are trained to do 1 thing; deliver and set up our games. Having dedicated delivery staff ensures we’re on time and our equipment is working properly. We make our delivery schedules weekly and we always arrive early. One of the keys to our success is to make our schedules pessimistically. We assume there will be traffic, we expect someone to show up 10 minutes late to the warehouse, we assume the truck will need to stop for gas, we expect the caterer to make us load in the long way. There are a lot of things that can cause the delivery truck to be late or fall behind schedule, but we’ve learned from experience. The biggest mistake most companies make is planning their schedules optimistically because if anything goes wrong their late! I can’t count how many times we’ve been at a party and saw another company rushing in 10 minutes before the party started to set up! I hate that, but some companies are just not organized. Remember there’s no government guidelines or regulations for companies in the party rental industry so you’ve got some great companies and you’ve got some bad ones.

THE OWNER OF OUR COMPANY USE TO OWN A LARGE DJ COMPANY so we understand the DJ or Band is the main entertainment, and we’re the “extra” entertainment. So if the DJ asks us to close the games for the Grand Entrance or a presentation we listen, but some vendors get an attitude b/c the DJ didn’t hire them so they tell the DJ, “you’re not my boss”. Our owner knows how tough it can be for the DJ to run an event so we want to help! It’s always better to have 1 great party than 2 good parties. The last thing any client wants is to play referee between 2 vendors who are fighting.

WE HAVE A LARGE WAREHOUSE AND WE OWN FORKLIFTS to stack our games on orange shelves just like you see at home depot, but most our competitors keep their games packed in their garage, backyard, or at storage place which isn’t climate controlled so humidity will destroy their games. This is also why they can’t match our inventory. I don’t want to put down the competition, but they’re not in the same league as us!

We have a lot of options and it can be overwhelming so part of my job is to walk you thru everything so your more comfortable navigating our website. Cocktail Hour Entertainment is a unique combination of both quality AND quantity. We see your guests as future customers so we want to amaze them, and we love it when they approach us asking for a business card. One of the ways we accomplish this is by building or buying the best games and photo booths available in the rental industry. We’ll buy a $4000 air hockey table and our competition will buy a $400 air hockey table so the most important part of my job is to make sure every customer knows there are some big quality differences between us and the competition. Educated consumers are our best customers. If the customers are too busy and don’t do their homework their gonna think both companies have the same exact games, so as long as customers learn the differences they book us every time b/c everyone chooses the better quality games if their the same price. If I lose the job I feel like I failed to explain our company deserves your business because we spend more time and money to make your party better. Most of our competition talks the talk, but they don’t walk the walk, and we scout our competition and see them on parties so we know exactly what they own. 

If you have a small budget or just want 1 or 2 games, don’t worry, you’ll still get the same peace of mind knowing you hired the best company. It’s like going to the doctor for a headache and finding out he’s a brain surgeon, you’re probably not gonna complain if the doctor is overqualified. 

We do our best to match or even beat competitor quotes, but most of our competition is not even in the same league as us. They try to copy us sometimes, but if you do your homework you’ll see the differences. For example, we own the real 250 lb arcade foosball tables you’ll see at an amusement park while our competitors own the 50 lb foosball tables you can buy online at Amazon. The more I educate you about what separates us from the competition the more you’re gonna like us. The Breakers hotel in Palm beach has some of the highest standards of any hotel in Florida and we’re a recommended vendor there, but NONE of our competitors are recommended vendors. The Miami Heat hires us for their private events. Now, I’m not saying our competition can’t do a good job, but I know we’re better. Call them up and ask them if they think they’re better than us? Ask them if they think they own better equipment or have better staff? They might say “yes” because they don’t want to lose your business and more than I do, but I work for this company because it’s a lot easier making a sales call knowing I am selling the best product. We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk.

How to avoid wasting your time:
1. Ask the person on the phone if the Guest of honor is helping pick the games/photo booth? If yes, ask the client to have their child make a top 5 or 10 list of their favorite games in order of importance and when they have it you can continue to discuss it. If client then asks for your recommendations explain choosing games for the kids is like guessing what flavor ice cream they like…everyone has their own taste and all of our games are great so we want to start from a list that we know your child likes otherwise we’re wasting our time.

2. Show the client our website as you sell so you don’t waste your time writing an email repeating everything that’s already on the website. 

3. If their party is over a year away ask them when they think they’ll be ready to hire someone? If they don’t know or say in 6 months then don’t waste your time b/c they’re just getting ideas and they will likely change their mind a few times.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Question:      Why should I hire you over the other competition?

Answer 1:     GAMES: We have real arcade quality games and a bigger selection than all of our competition combined. Arcade quality games look better and are more reliable. Our prices are very reasonable when you consider the quality we offer. PHOTO BOOTHS: We have the biggest selection of quality photo booths in florida, over 20 different models, not 20 of the same photo booth, so we have the right photo booth for every type of party compared to a company that only owns 1 or 2 different models.

Answer 2:      We have the best staff! Every company says this, but we pay professional rates so we attract professional staff. Some of our best employees use to work for the competition, but who doesn’t want to get paid more for the same job? Well paid staff are happy staff that stick around for years, gain experience, and do a better job. Most of our competition hires 16-18 yr olds and they can do a good job, but an adult who has a family and bills to pay is more reliable than a teenager who lives at home with their parents! Do you want to take a chance with your once in a lifetime event with inexperienced staff? 

Answer 3:      The breakers in Palm beach has some of the highest hotel standards in florida and We’re on their recommended vendors list. It was difficult to get on that list, but we did through years of reliable service and quality! All of our competition would like to be on that list, but they’re not! 

Question:    How many parties do you do at the same time?

Answer:      Typically 4 or 5, but We only grow as fast as we can maintain the high quality our customers deserve.

Question:      Will you beat their price?

Answer:         We do our best to match or beat competitor quotes, but we need to see it in writing so we can see exactly what they’re offering. We’ve already know our competitors prices and they know ours, but if we don’t insist on seeing a copy then you could make up a price, or in 3 months your neighbor may call us asking why we gave you a better price so we want to be honest and fair with the reason why you got a lower price.

Question:      What games/Photo Booth do you recommend?

Answer:         If this was my party I would recommend….(you pick)

Question:      What companies are your competition?

Answer:         We don’t give out the names of other companies, but they’re not as good as us!

Question:      Why did my Caterer/ Party Planner recommend a different company? 

Answer:         I don’t know, but it’s possible they’re friends or have a family relationship, and some companies pay kickbacks.

Question:     One photo booth company said to leave the photo booths to them and the games to you because you’re more of a “jack of all trades, master of none.” Is that true?

Answer:        HAHA, definitely not. I know the company that says that line and we respect them, but they’re not even in the same league as us. we own better photo booths, we own a bigger variety of photo booths, and we’re more technical.  We can buy the best photo booths regardless of size because we use large trucks for game deliveries, but our competition buys smaller photo booths because they have to fit everything in a van or SUV, we don’t! The owner of our company is a graphic designer and game technician so we have a major in-house advantage over the competition when it comes to game and photo booth repairs and creating professional Logo designs for your photo booth prints. I’ve seen some of the print designs from this other company and they aren’t bad, but they’re basic so they either lack the graphic design skills or the enthusiasm. Also some companies just buy their photo booth designs online because they don’t know how to make them which is fine. but if their customer needs something customized they’re limited to what they can do, we aren’t. Go visit their website and then visit ours and compare the designs for yourself. 

Question:     Why do some photo booth companies include 2 photo booth attendants and you only include 1?

Answer:   Most photo booth companies include 1 attendant. I know 1 company that offers 2 and it sounds good and can be a benefit, but the attendants job is to interact with your guests, but when you have 2 attendants they interact more with each other than your guests. Remember, photo booths are designed to be left unattended in shopping malls with no attendant. The reason photo booth companies provide an attendant is to assist older guests, help your guests with the scrapbook, and make Sure The Kids Put all The Props back For The Next Guests. Most kids know how to use touch screens and don’t want our help. Usually, the attendant spends most of the party chasing the kids to put the props back. the main reason this other company started providing 2 attendants was because they were offering more props, which was a good idea, but the kids were taking them all so they needed extra staff to prevent this. if you want 2 attendants we can provide that for $200 or just send us a copy of their quote and we’ll match it.

Question:      I saw your company and another company at an event and you were both good, so why should I Choose you?

Answer 1:     If we’re both providing the same exact options then the choice is yours, but it rarely is and we’ll match or beat their price. For example, If we both offer an air hockey table in name alone it sounds like you’re getting the same thing, but you’re not! ours is a $4000 air hockey and their’s is a $400 table from Dicks sporting goods. you’re not getting the same game! Most of our competition isn’t even in the same league as us! It’s your decision if you want to go 1st class or 2nd class, but if you want quality and dependability you have to pay a little more because we have to pay more to provide it. 

Answer 2:      Consistency! They charge less because their not consistently as good as us. Remember, they’re not in business for charity so if they’re under cutting our prices, ask yourself why and how? “Why”, so they don’t keep losing jobs to us. “How”, by buying cheaper equipment and hiring cheaper staff to save money. If the other companies were as good and spent as much as us they wouldn’t need to lower their prices.

Answer 3:       You might have seen a game when it was brand new, but it wont look like that in 6 months because they don’t take proper care of their equipment. I see kids delivering their games with no protective covers in uhaul trucks and vans so their games get damaged very quickly. I cringe when I watch them deliver because they don’t know what they’re doing. We invest in custom covers for almost every game. I think We have a better business model for our company, but it does cost us more to be better.

Question:     another company offered to have the owner work on my party, can you do that?  

Answer:       Yes, but I have to ask. Did you know having the owner working on your party is not always a benefit, especially if there’s a problem on another party and they are the only person who can help. Our owner used to; do all the deliveries, work on every party every weekend, plus work 40+ hours a week answering phones, booking parties, working on the website, etc…. He worked as a photographer, Tattoo artist, phone case designer, engraved dog tags, etc…. He did every job in the company, but He Can’t Be As Fresh As An Attendant Who is only working 1 Or 2 Parties A Week. the main problem is most entertainment companies do multiple parties at once so the owner has to stop working on one party if he needs to help on another. We had an experience like, our owner was working on a party sat night taking photos to make fantasy ID cards and he got a call from another party and he had to stop working for 20 minutes during cocktail hour to help them over the phone. That wasn’t fair to the party he was working on and he learned it’s better for the owner to not work on events so he can be on call for emergencies since he knows how to do every job and he can fill in if someone doesn’t show up to work. For example, one of our delivery guys, Chris, hurt himself and the owner went to the warehouse and took over doing deliveries that day and everything went fine. Accidents happen to every company, but Following this business model has proven invaluable for our company. I know for a fact the owners of most of our competition work on their parties every weekend so if they have an emergency they’re gonna have problems. Their business model is guaranteed to create some unhappy customers. We learned from that mistake, but they didn’t!
